Reworked the Wing Gundam ver. KA model to get this. I'm definately putting this in a scene very soon. I ended up saving more polygons on this one since the wings are different and there's no "shield" of sorts (guess the wings make up for that). I'm still haveing trouble rotating some parts correctly on it, but here it is.
Software: Lightwave 8.3
It's beautiful... *_* And I definitvely want to see it in a scene! \o/
I'd only have one suggestion (if I may - I know I'm no 3D expert so well...) : if it is possible, I think it would be awesome to use images textures that includes the "bumps" and irregularites we can see in the battle scenes. I've seen people do it in models kits magazine (with the wing, actually! ), they painted irregular marks on the model and it made it look even more authentic.
Thank you very much!!
The version posted above is sort the "fresh from the armory" look. I was going to use it for the wing spread/cannon's ready - earth orbit shot. I was planning later to really make it look bruised and battered for the shot where the cannons are connected and pointed down from the sky shot. I'm still not that great at texturing though, so that will take me a bit of time to learn.
okay... Sounds like it's gonna be an awesome scene. o_o If you need spécific bitmaps for the textures, you can note me. I could't model a cube to save my life, but I'm used to photoshop and image/picture treatment, so if I'd be glad to help if I can.
