My wife rather likes this machine and since it was her request (and she was feeling a bit sick yesterday) I figured now is a good time to post.
Personally, the Qubeley is one of my all-time favorite Mobile Suits from the Gundam metaverse, mostly because of it's incredibly off-beat design, but secondly because of it's incredible power in the series, and third because the pilot is female. Thankfully, she's not some weak minded, peace loving crybaby -- but instead a scornful, conniving leader with incredible NEWTYPE power -- and a bit crazy.
The machine itself is built for "NEWTYPES" and is piloted by Haman Karn, who has piloted at least one other Newtype machine (Schnee Weiss - a white Rick Dom refitted with extra armor and accompanied by a pod of remote controlled "bits"). Similar to the Schnee Weiss, the Qubeley contains a rear mounted pod containing 10 remote controlled bits. The arms hide a pair of beam sabers which also act as beam weapons. One of the more striking features, the arm mounted wing binders, functions mostly in mass balance control in space, a system labeled (A.M.B.A.C.). Interestingly, there is more than one type of "Qubeley" as the Qubeley MKII's enter limited production in ZZ Gundam with mass produced units (each containing 30 remote controlled bits) coming later.
The white is my favorite however. There is a rabbit head on the left wing binder, which is what my wife requested. She gets the much larger version as well.

Mahaha!
He's back! And with a Quebley!
It's awful sweet of you to do this for her, dude. And that's an awesome suit as well! My friend Scott is absolutely obsessed with the Quebley.
Such a wierd design...and only for Newtypes?
My question is...did any of these designs carry on into Chars Counterattack? (I've not watched it, but I've seen all the units from it; Char's unit uses the same bits (Though seriously, a helluva bunch of them do), but also the strange design and overall appearance seem at least vaguely similar to me.)
Either way, sweet work, dude. It looks great the way you did it! And the posework is quite something, too.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
