Series: Model Graphix Gundam WARS III: Gundam Sentinel
This is the S-Gundam. The machines in the bg are Zeta Plus C1 Units (non-demonstration). The S-Gundam based machines in the Sentinel Gundam series would undergo several changes during the course of the story -- ultimately leading to the Ex-S (as the Deep Striker was believed never to have been constructed). As far as structure is concerned, it's probably most similar to the ZZ Gundam (Double Zeta Gundam) as it's a modular design that separates into 3 main parts, A parts (mostly chest and arms), B parts (mostly leg/waist parts) and C parts (the core fighter). Each "parts" actually contains it's own cockpit so the machine when combined actually has 3 cockpit blocks. The S-Gundam features an Artificial Intelligence computer called ALICE that is capable of intelligent decision and growth based on experience. Eventually the computer learns to fight and defend itself better than the pilot is himself capable.... Weapons: The machine has two beam sabers, locked into the insides of the knee binders. They rotate out when ready for use. The large black gun is the SMART BEAM GUN, essentially the same gun used by the Zeta Plus C1 Hummingbird units (the underside of their shield guns). The round/semi disc shaped protrusion from the head is an INCOM unit, which allows the machine to fire beam weaponry relatively remotely (relative as it's tethered to the S-gundam via wire). Also, 2 large (white) beam cannons protrude from the backpack. I'm still working on completing the Deep Striker, but along the way I ended up making the S-Gundam and the Ex-S. Thank the lord of the internet for Yahoo auctions because that's the only way I could find a cheap (though used) S/Ex-S gundam figure to base the mesh off of. What made it a bit more painful was that I got it into my head that I wanted it to transform/split, so I went through tons of sites trying to figure out "how" the damn thing does it. Finally figured it out after a time. Detailing is based off of Takayuki Hayama's scratch build (from Model Graphix). The rest is based off of the wee GFF figure, except the core fighter which is mostly derived from the Gundam ver KA mesh I made months ago. Not much done as far as textures as I just wanted to model it and move on as I have tons of crap to do. Gotta go to Sendai again this week (for my wife of course Anyway...it's not my best, just showing that it got done. Software: Lightwave3D(modelling/rendering), Photoshop (that damned post work) Gundam is (c) Bandai/Sunrise/Sotsu Agency |
